Apply a generous amount to clean skin* at night, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 3-5 minutes. For future uses, if additional time is preferred and patch testing is done, leave on for up to 10 minutes. Rinse with water or your daily cleanser, then follow up with your preferred serum and moisturizer. Avoid sun exposure for 1-2 days after usage. *For sensitive skin, we highly recommend patch testing. Should I exfoliate or cleanse first?

We always recommend exfoliating after cleansing the skin, to ensure it’s free of buildup and debris. This allows you to apply your exfoliant to a clean base, which then preps your skin for your moisturizer, oil, and serum.

Is it better to exfoliate in the morning or evening?

Although either is acceptable, we recommend exfoliating in the evening. This is especially encouraged if the treatment involves AHAs or other acids, which can leave your skin slightly more sensitive to UV light. Additionally, exfoliating in the evening allows for a more thorough removal or makeup and other debris, while prepping your skin for other nighttime products and boosting the efficacy of your entire routine.

Is it OK to exfoliate everyday?

We recommend exfoliating 2-3 times each week. Although some exfoliants can be used daily, exfoliating everyday can strip the skin of its natural oils, triggering breakouts. Over-exfoliating can also thin the skin over time, causing fine lines and wrinkles.

What happens if you never exfoliate?

Exfoliation is a crucial step in your facial regimen, helping the skin renew itself as it wipes away dirt, oils, and impurities. This buildup can also clog your pores, leading to breakouts and other burdens. As the skin ages it can become dull, lackluster and wrinkled.
